We happened to be in NYC on election day, and passed by several polling places on our walks to various destinations, including Eataly. After the win, our friend Stephen Borkowski emailed us a photo of the candidate and one of his slogans: "I am running in the tradition of Shirley Chisholm, unbought and unbossed." Whether or not he can deliver on his promises is a question to be answered; for now, it feels like something has happened, a change has occurred, an opportunity has presented itself.
